The Cart Discount feature allows users to apply a preset or custom discount to the entire cart (or all items that are part of the final order), as opposed to applying a discount to a single item.

Cart Discount Types

There are two types of Cart Discounts, namely custom and preset, that you can apply to the cart. With a custom discount, you can apply a percentage or fixed discount amount by entering upon applying the discount. Alternatively, with Preset Discounts, you can figure a specific percentage or fixed amount and assign it a name in the BackOffice. Preset Discounts are a helpful tool for tracking discounts (e.g., employee discounts) and promotions.

Apply a Custom Cart Discount

To Apply a Custom Cart Discount:

  1. Tap the Overflow Cart Menu button (three vertical dots) in the top-right corner of the screen (above the cart).
  2. Tap Apply Cart Discount.
  3. Tap Custom. 
  4. Tap Discount by Percentage or Discount by Amount and enter the amount.
  5. Tap Done.

Note that after the Cart Discount is applied, a green notification bar above the cart will appear with the specified discount amount.

Apply a Preset Cart Discount

To Apply a Preset Cart Discount:

  1. Tap the Overflow Cart Menu button (three vertical dots) in the top-right corner of the screen (above the cart).
  2. Tap Apply Cart Discount.
  3. Tap the Preset Discount button you want to apply to the order.
